Here are six mission
focused Social Media posts that you can share and use:
·
1985 was the year of the first Relay
For Life event in Tacoma, Washington. Relay For Life is now not only nationwide
but has also spread across the globe to 29 countries. Who can donate $19.85 to
honor the beginning of Relay For Life?
·
At
least 18% of
all cancer cases in the U.S. are related to what we consume and our activity
level. In fact, after not smoking, these lifestyle habits are the most
important behaviors that people can control and change to help lower their
cancer risk. Who can donate $18 to my fundraising efforts?
·
The
American Cancer Society recommends men and women begin getting colorectal
cancer screening at the age of 45.
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common types of cancer and is a leading
cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. If all adults 45 and older
were screened for colorectal cancer we could avoid thousands of deaths each
year and prevent many people from ever getting the disease. Who can donate $45
to support the American Cancer Society?
·
Did
you know? more than 15.5 million
cancer survivors are alive in the US today. We can thank the life-saving
research, education, advocacy and services of the American Cancer Society for
those 15.5 million survivors. It is because of the fundraising we do, that the
American Cancer Society to continue to attack cancer from every angle. Can you
donate $15.50 to support the American Cancer Society?
·
The
HPV vaccination works best when given between ages 9 and 12.
Vaccination between ages 9 and 12 will prevent more HPV cancers than
vaccination at older ages. Children must be vaccinated before they’re exposed
to an infection – just like tetanus or pneumonia. HPV is so common that most
people will catch it at some point in their lives. That’s why all 9- to
12-year-olds need the HPV vaccine. Children and young adults age 13 through 26
who have not been vaccinated, or who haven’t gotten all their doses, should get
the vaccine as soon as possible for the most cancer protection. Who can donate
$9-$12 to continue the fight against cancer?
· Slip, Slap, Slop, and Wrap! Summer is here and sun safety is important to protect against skin cancer. Slip on a shirt, Slap on a hat, Slop on sunscreen SPF 30+ and Wrap on some sunglasses. Who will donate $30 to help attack cancer from every angle?
