National Coming Out Day is an annual LGBTQIA+ awareness day to supporting those choosing to “come out of the closet.” The American Cancer Society is focused on supporting the LGBTQIA+ community by focusing on cancer disparities including providing more information to help improve cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. They are also providing health care workers additional education and support in treating the LGBTQIA+ community.
